This Privacy Policy explains how Cityicon ("we", "us", "the platform") collects, uses, stores and protects information when you use this website. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the service:

• Account details — your full name, email address and mobile number, provided at registration.
• Authentication data — your password, stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash. We never store or have access to your password in readable form.
• Activity data — quizzes you attempt, answers selected, scores, time taken, attempt timestamps and resulting rankings.
• Membership and payment records — the plan purchased, amount, transaction reference, payment status and validity dates.
• Support correspondence — messages you send through the contact form.
• Technical data — session identifiers and standard server logs generated when you use the site.

We do not collect or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking credentials. Payment details are entered directly with the payment gateway.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

• create and maintain your account and authenticate your logins;
• deliver quizzes, calculate results and maintain your attempt history;
• determine eligibility for premium content and manage membership validity;
• process payments and maintain transaction records;
• display aggregate performance on public leaderboards (your display name and aggregate scores only);
• send account-related notifications;
• respond to your support enquiries;
• maintain the security, integrity and lawful operation of the platform.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

4. What Is Visible to Others

Detailed results and answer reviews are private to your account. The public leaderboard displays only your display name and aggregate performance figures such as total score, average percentage and number of quizzes attempted.

5. Data Security

We apply the following measures:

• passwords stored using one-way hashing;
• parameterised database queries to prevent injection attacks;
• server-side authorisation checks on every account and administrative page;
• session protection, including identifier rotation on login;
• transport encryption (HTTPS/SSL) where enabled on the hosting environment.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

Account, attempt, result and payment records are retained for as long as your account remains active, and thereafter as required for legal, accounting or dispute-resolution purposes. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us; records required by law or for the resolution of a pending transaction may be retained.

7. Cookies and Sessions

We use a session cookie strictly to keep you logged in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. It contains no advertising or tracking identifiers. Disabling cookies will prevent you from logging in.

8. Third-Party Services

Payments are processed by a third-party payment gateway that operates under its own privacy policy and terms. Information shared with the gateway is limited to what is required to complete the transaction. The platform may also be hosted by a third-party hosting provider.

9. Age Requirement

Cityicon is intended for users aged 14 and above. You are asked to confirm this at registration. If we become aware that an account has been created by someone below the stated minimum age, we may suspend or remove that account. If the platform is later opened to users under 14, privacy, consent and product requirements will be reviewed before launch.

10. Your Rights

You may access and update your profile details from your dashboard at any time, request a copy of the personal data held about you, request correction of inaccurate information, or request deletion of your account subject to section 6.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version takes effect when published on this page. Continued use of the platform after publication constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
