Account & Registration

Cityicon is intended for users aged 14 and above. During registration you are asked to confirm that you meet the minimum age requirement. This is not a children's platform.

Your full name, a valid email address, a mobile number and a password. You must also confirm you are 14+ and accept the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Use the "Forgot password?" link on the login page. Enter your registered email address and you will receive a single-use reset link that is valid for 60 minutes.

Yes. Open My Profile from your dashboard to update your name and mobile number, or to change your password. The registered email address is fixed to keep your attempt history intact — contact support if it must be changed.

Quizzes & Results

The timer starts the moment you begin a quiz and runs on the server, not in your browser. If it reaches zero, your quiz is submitted automatically with the answers recorded up to that point.

Every answer is saved to the server as you select it, so responses already recorded are safe. The timer continues running, so reconnect and submit as soon as you can.

Yes. You can move freely between questions using the navigation buttons or the question palette, and change or clear any answer until you submit.

Some quizzes deduct a fixed number of marks for each incorrect answer. The deduction, where it applies, is shown on the quiz details page before you start. Unattempted questions are never penalised.

Your score is the total marks from correct answers, minus any negative marking. The result shows score, percentage, accuracy, correct, incorrect and unattempted counts, and time taken — plus a pass or fail outcome where the quiz defines a passing percentage.

Yes. Every attempt is recorded separately in your history so you can track improvement over time.

Membership & Payments

No. Free quizzes are available to every registered user with no payment. A membership is only required for quizzes marked Premium.

An active paid membership unlocks every premium quiz for the duration of the plan, alongside everything included in free access.

Your account stays active and free quizzes remain available. Premium quizzes lock again until you renew. All past results and history are retained.

The new term is added on top of your remaining days, so nothing is lost by renewing early.

Failed payments are recorded with a reference and are not charged for membership. If an amount was debited, banks typically reverse it within 5–7 working days. Contact support with your order reference if it does not appear.

Open My Membership from your dashboard. Every transaction is listed with its plan, amount, reference and status.

Leaderboard & Privacy

Participants are ranked on total score across all graded attempts. Ties are resolved by average percentage, then by total time taken. You can filter by category and by time period.

Detailed results and answer reviews are private to your account. Only your display name and aggregate performance appear on the public leaderboard.

Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and are never readable, database queries are parameterised, and access to your account and results is restricted to you and the Super Admin. See the Privacy Policy for the full statement.
